This is my seventeenth year teaching at Montecito Union School. I have taught first, second third grade, and I am currently teaching first grade.  I enjoy every aspect of my job.  Working atone of the top schools in California is both inspiring and exciting. Recently, teachers at MUS were given the opportunity to travel to Boston and extend their learning at Harvard University.  It is rewarding that our school values opportunities that help teachers to learn, grow, and ultimately provides students with an education that sets a global standard.
I grew up on the North Shore outside of Chicago and moved to Santa Barbara in the late 1980’s. I received my BA in Human Development as well as my teaching credential from Pacific Oaks College.  My husband is a social studies teacher at Santa Barbara High School. As a teacher and as a mother of two children who attend Montecito Union I feel gratitude on two levels.
