Hello! My name is Kelsee Kennedy and I am one of the K-6th grade Inclusion Teachers for exceptional students. The 2017-2018 school year will be my 4th year at MUS. I oversee a team of highly skilled instructional assistants who provide academic, social, and emotional supports to students within their general education classrooms. Additionally, I am a doctoral candidate at UC Santa Barbara, where I serve as a teaching assistant for a Language Arts course in the Teacher Education Program.
I received my undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara in Psychology in 2011 as well as an Education Specialist Credential: Moderate/Severe with a Master of Arts in Education in 2013. In 2015, I completed an Education Specialist Credential: Mild/Moderate at Antioch University, Santa Barbara. My past experiences include working as a Behaviorist in school settings for Hope School District, a Program Supervisor at the Koegel Autism Clinic, a Reading Instructor for English Language Learners at the McEnroe Reading Clinic at UC Santa Barbara, and an instructional assistant here at MUS.
I enjoy teaming with students, families, teachers, and support providers to develop comprehensive support systems which foster students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. I feel very fortunate to be a part of such an amazing school and supportive faculty! Please feel free to contact me with questions at any time.
